Ali Akbor MSc CPFA

Ali Akbor has been the Treasurer of Masjid-ul-Aqsa and Islamic Centre since 1995. He has lived in Oldham, within close proximity of the Masjid since 1986. He is a qualified accountant being and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).

 

He was appointed Chief Executive of Unity Housing Association which is based in Leeds in 1999. Before joining Unity he was at the City of Salford, as Head of Finance for the Community and Social Services Directorate.

 

He has been very active in the community and the voluntary sector having served on the boards of several organisations and in a former Chair of Governor or a local school.
